As expressed in many of my past posts’, I am crazy about fresh flowers! They make me smile when I walk in a room, the smell is so refreshing and they are beautiful to look at 🙂
Ivory flowers exalt a classic, rich look. Cabbage roses, peonies, tulips… I can’t wait for Spring!! If you plan on using ivory flowers for your wedding, your options are plenty! Pairing beautifully with many colors, opt for a full bloom. A flower with a full bloom can give you the option of using less, if you are willing to spend a little more for your floral budget. If that is the case, you end up with a higher quality flower. If not, don’t worry, you will be pleasantly surprised and your many options!
Take a look at these gorgeous arrangements…

The color I based my wedding off of, the color I decorate most of my house with, a color I love to wear- – Ivory!
Ivory is so stunning for a wedding dress.. It gives it a rich, chic feel, no matter the design! The colors I chose for my wedding were ivory, rust orange and olive green. Perfect for a Fall wedding! I based a lot of my decor decisions off of the color ivory. I wanted everything to flow together. I had my gown picked out, and of course it was ivory, and I made sure that when ordering the men’s tuxes, that instead of the shirts being white, I made them ivory (or light cream). I was told, as a little tip before hand, that if my dress was going to be ivory and the men’s shirts white, it would really stand out in pictures (possibly enough to make my dress appear “dirty”). Made sense to me since the colors are noticeably different! The men wore chocolate brown tuxes, so it looked very sharp!
Preferably, I like taupe (a form of ivory) for wall color, it goes with everything!! And a lot of my home decor is the same!
This week we will feature incredibly gorgeous flowers, home design, decor, clothing and more!!
Here are a few pictures from MY wedding, featuring this weeks color inspiration 🙂

Shoes are one of the best accessories for your outfit. Are you a flats or heels type of girl?! I’m so used to wearing flats now that’s its hard for me to wear heels, but I still love them! I walk around the house in them so I can start wearing them out again without my feet killing me (haha)! Especially lugging two kids around, I have to be comfortable! I posted a picture yesterday of my new navy pumps, check out some more adorable navy shoes!!

Right now I am totally into Peacock anything! I really love Navy this season, and of course glamor!! How amazing would it be to have a Peacock inspired wedding? Totally incredible.. Navy, hunter green, ivory and gold. Check out some of these fabulous ideas I found on Pinterest!
For the bouquet, choose something subtle but breathtaking…
I love the look the peonies in the right and left picture, crazy beautiful! The color is soft and bright, yet full and bold! If you want to do something a little more vibrant and theme inspired, go for the picture in the middle, peacock feathers and calla lilies, wrapped with navy fabric and rhinestone studs would look perfect!
Choosing the right dress for you is key to fit in with the rest of your wedding theme. Opt for something that is fitted for the top half and puffy designed for the bottom. I really love the dress on the bottom left for this theme. Paired with the peonies bouquet from above, would be sure to take every guests’ breath away!
Truth is, one of the things your guests are looking forward to the most, or most opinionated on is the food, aka, the cake! Recommendations for a baker is pertinent. Come up with a shape you prefer, round is my preference, and perfect for the Peacock theme! Be sure to know a round- about head count before ordering your cake, keeping in mind you will be keeping the top tier to freeze for your first anniversary!

I had THE most amazing bridal shower ever!!
I absolutely loved the place it was at. It was at a place called Park Alley Tavern in Olde Town Pickerington. The upstairs, where the shower took place, was very rich in history, built in the late 1800’s. The ceiling was gorgeous, I don’t even know how to describe what it was made of, but it was very elegant, vintage… Right in tune with the theme I’m going after for the wedding! When I walked in, I had to go up these dark wood, super wide stairs and was met by my hostess and amazing maid of honor! Behind her was a gorgeous baby grand piano covered with glass vases filled with gorgeous ivory, garden roses and natural branches. There was also one enormous, gorgeous orange flower I have no clue what it was.
Amanda had customized fall leaves with mine and Reubens names and our wedding date. These aligned the tabels along with beautiful olive and orange candels and beaded holders. Everything just came together so amazingly! When I had first arrived, I had numerous people tell me to go and look at the cake.. It was a three- tier round cake that was decorated with my exact colors. It was an ivory cake with white detail and very detailed leaves and acorns. The three tiers consisted of pink champagne- with real strawberries between layers, banana (delishh) and lemon. This cake was to die for! Delicious 🙂
Everything was fabulous, I couldn’t have asked for more! My friend, and amazing photographer was there and took tons of pictures!! I can’t wait to post some on here 🙂
Check back soon for pictures!!!

The trellis my Dad will be building will some what resemble this one, but mine won’t be quite as large and only stand on two legs. But this gives you the idea of the trellis and the ivory fabric I will drape around it!
After our wedding, we are going to donate the trellis to our Church, New Song Community Church. It will be a great addition to a great church!
