When Fall comes to mind, we all have our essential, go-to favorites of the season! I wanted to create a simple little printable to share with you all, that have some of my favorites included. I can almost bet, they’re some of your favorites too! 😉
I’m not going to lie… I decorated this mantel mid August! Once the kids were back in school, I found myself with a little more down-time and decided it get a head start on my decorating! I have to say, I’m glad that I did. We are super busy preparing for barn shows we have coming up, AND if you didn’t see via Instagram or Facebook, our barn was delivered last week so we are busy working on that anytime we can! I will share more info about our storefront in another post soon!
I wanted to keep my early Fall mantel, simple at first! It’s always easy to go back and add little pumpkins, fresh greenery and such. As you know, I love using fresh greenery, but I found some beautiful, faux stems that don’t look “fake”. I don’t like the ones that you look at and automatically know they’re not real. So, I added those cute little stems to this mantel design.
And as always, my trusty go-to antique books never disappoint! They are the easiest way to add instant character to my designs. Throw in some candles and tea lights and you’re good to go!
This sweet mantel design will be getting a face-lift soon with some sweet baby boo pumpkins!
It was a pleasure to have you here today!
See you next time 🙂
Hey friends and happy Friday! Guess what? It’s the first official day of Fall!!! I’m so excited for this weekend! We are a vendor in the first ever Vintage & Made Market at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster, Ohio! A tradition my little ones and I love each year is going apple picking! We head to the local apple orchard and pick our own apples right off the tree! Seeing the smiles on their little faces as they find the perfect apples, is priceless! Not to mention, I get to make some awfully tasty goodies with them! One specific request I had from my 11-year old son was to make apple butter!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have saw my Instastories where I shared the process of making homemade apple butter. If not, you’re in luck because I wanted to share this simple, 2- ingredient recipe! Ya’ll, it’s only 2 ingredients! You can’t get any better than that!
It’s that time of the year, time for the Country Living Fair in Columbus! It’s one of my very favorite ways to kick off the Fall season each year! The first day is today, September 15th and the event runs through Sunday! This year Country Living Fair celebrates the 10th anniversary in Columbus! That is so exciting! This will be my 4th year attending and I truly look forward to this event every year!

Hello gorgeous and happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by to get inspired this week with Friday Favorites #27! Hard to believe we’ve been getting together every Friday for over 27 weeks! I’m so happy it’s the weekend! It’s been a long week around here and I’m exhausted! Exhausted seems to be a repetitive feeling these days, but I’m thankful for the chaos! Do you have anything exciting going on this weekend? We have an annual venison cook-off Saturday, followed by our neighborhood block party! [Read more…]
The kitchen is the heart of the home, but what comes next? How about a good dining room? I absolutely LOVE my formal dining room! It’s the perfect place to host dinner parties with friends and family, plus I absolutely love decorating it! I’ve put together a board of must-have items when it comes to creating the perfect dream dining room!
It won’t come to any surprise to you, that I’ve stuck with a neutral color palette. To me, neutrals are the easiest to work with and change out decor for the Holidays or just because.
I love the character the antiqued pieces bring to this room! This is a very simple design to recreate! Now, I’m going to show you what adding a few elements of decor can do to completely turn this space around! As I mentioned the other day, I’m in Fall mode, so I’ll be creating a dining room decorated for Fall!
My suggestion would be to paint the walls Swiss coffee and trim ultra pure white. Opt for a farmhouse-style chandelier. Or, something a little more fancy and add crystals! I love adding navy to this dining room! The long, flowing navy curtains and matching navy throw pillows, tie the space together. Add a chunky knit throw to the one of the head chairs for instant coziness.
Fill your china cabinet/hutch with a beautiful collection of vintage ironstone. Hang an olive leaf or eucalyptus wreath in front of your hutch. Don the table with a similar swag of eucalyptus garland and create a stunning centerpiece by adding some cinderella pumpkins and tiered candles! Fill in any blank spaces with some faux or live stemmed greenery!
Wow! What a difference just adding some simple decor makes! Now, if only I could make this room come to life 😉 Keeping this for future reference! Pin here so you can save it too!

What a pleasure to have you here today! Thank you for stopping by!
