It has been quite awhile since I have wrote on the blog, and I am soo excited to get back into it! Now that winter is over, it’s time for me to make the final decisions for my wedding! Florist, baker, DJ, etc. I’m very anxious to begin! I’m down to just just about six months until my ‘big day’ : ) Time has truely flown by, and I can’t wait to see how everything turns out! I will be making new posts atleast every day, if not a couple times a day, so check back often and leave your support! Thanks for viewing : )
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog, and I really miss it! I haven’t done too much planning with my wedding lately because I wanted to get past the holidays and pick it up in early Spring! I can’t wait to pick a florist and bakery.
Right now these are the lowest price of the year on theknot.com. Right now they are 15.99$ for 100 drink napkins. You have tons of colors and logos to choose from.. I think they add a personal touch to your reception. Give them to the bartender, and have them passed out with every drink : )
I’m excited because these editable menus come in orange, which is one of my colors! I’ve been trying to think of how I can incorporate orange a little more in my reception, and this is my answer! I love the fact that these come with two different designs and all you have to do is add what food you will be offering that evening. Very, very simple! I love it…
http://www.marthastewartweddings.com— Lots of great DIY ideas here : )
Love this idea for young guests! http://www.marthastewartweddings.com has this great idea downloadable in PDF format to keep the little ones at your wedding reception occupied, at least for a little bit! If this doesn’t suit you, use the idea and customize it to your special day!
I like this idea to hang in the reception! Our reception site has a beautiful stone hearth, and this would dress it up a little and still have meaning. I got this creative idea from http://www.marthastewartweddings.com, you can print directions and every letter of the alphabet to customize it. If you aren’t crazy about the ‘Just Married’, you could simply personalize with your names! This is a very easy and inexpensive way to add character to your reception!!
OK, so I asked my fiance what his opinion was on our wedding favors. He likes the idea of the S’Mores, BUT, he doesn’t think people will actually make them, and we don’t want them to be wasted. SO, with that said, we have decided to go with the personalized lollipops!
These are a couple of the Fall designs they have. They have a total of 8 different ones’ to chose from! I love them because they incorporate all of my colors : ) Can’t get any better than that!!
Here are the other Fall Designs.. I’m not quite sure what my favorite is yet, but my fiance prefers the Circle Tree.. What do you all think?? It’s between the fern, landscape and circle tree ( because these include my colors! )
I love this simple yet elegant idea with glass hurricanes, different sized candles and monogrammed ribbon. If your reception site allows the use of real candles, this would be sure way to add detail to any table!
I love this look this centerpiece gives! This is a gilded pitcher… It adds color and design to the table. Lightly spray paint a thin coat of gold over the flowers you chose to use. The flowers used here are roses, dahlias and rose hips.
Flower pumpkins! This is a very simple way to add detail to any centerpiece. Simply buy a pumpkin, a bouquet of flowers, hot glue gun and gourds for decorating. Once home, cute each flower stem directly under the bud and glue onto to the pumpkin. There’s NO cutting involved! This would be a last minute masterpiece : ) Have fun with it, mix and match flowers!!
I will definitely be using this idea with my white pumpkins! Spruce up these unique pumpkins with a touch of silver glitter paint! Add a silver piece to bring out the sparkle. A silver wine cooler is used here.
I found all this wonderful information at : http://www.bhg.com/crafts/weddings/flowers/wedding-centerpiece-ideas/?page=20 Better Homes and Gardens.
This is ‘Joyful Bride’ online and they have tons of very affordable wedding and party favors. They have a lot of the favors I have found on other websites but they are MUCH cheaper! They even have my personalized lollipops $0. 58 cheaper than the other site : ) That’s exciting! You can shop by season, occasion, style and more… Take a look, I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for!
I found this cute idea for wedding favors : S’Mores… in a small cellophane bag include a marshmallows, small Hersey’s chocolate bar and two graham crackers and finish it off with a ribbon that coordinates with your colors. I don’t know which I like better, this S’Mores idea or the personalized lollipops?? The S’Mores fit my ‘theme’ better… What do you guys think???
